The panic mode has started!!

302 hours before the trip starts. So much to do, so little time to do it in!!! This weekend the travelers will be packing and seeing if everything will fit in the car, or if we will need to hire a trailer to take all the bedding, clothing and equipment to OH where we will pick up the new camper. I will be traveling out with the family to pick up the camper and then wishing them on their merry way......... and return to the workfront to earn enough to fund the gas bill for the next two and a half months!!!!

Camper update and jobs to be done

Our pop-up-camper has been sold. We decided that a hard sided camper would be easier and safer for such a long trip. We will pick up our next camper in Ohio when we pass through at the beginning of our trip.

I have been doing a lot of background reading to research all the places we need to visit. I almost feel like I have already done the trip because I have learnt so much about the east coast.

I am still trying to finalise the last two weeks of the trip. I am investigating New Hampshire, Vermont and New York State. I was able to book tickets to the Boston Pops, at their summer performance venue in the Berkshires - will be great as long as it does not rain.

Youngest in tribe has taken on the task of chef. We have acquired a cook book of one dish meals and he is going to choose each meal, shop for ingredients, and prepare in the evenings. We have started practicing some of the recipes already.

I hope someone will take on the job of navigator and schedule keeper. We will also need a photographer. Everyone will take turns being scribe.

can't wait

I can't wait until school is out. Then we can all relax and enjoy our trip. Oh I forgot you can't come that sucks but you can have your own trip like us and don't be sad we'll keep writing.

ahhh...the sea

I'm really excited about this trip because i love the sea. the splash of the surf, making you sleepy, the beautiful fish, and they coral reef.

This trip is going to be lots of fun. We are going to visit lots of places that I've always wanted to visit like the Washington Memorial and Lincoln Memorial. I can also see the Atlantic ocean and stay in a nice camper. Also, we will be in Washington D.C. to see the fourth of July fireworks. Yahoooo!

The start of things to come

Our trip begins in one month. We are all starting to dream about the places we will be visiting. I can't wait to be swimming in the Atlantic Ocean.
